Chandigarh Football Academy was conceived and inaugurated by H.E., Lt. Gen. J.F.R. Jacob, PVSM (Retd), by the then Governor of Punjab and Administrator U.T. Chandigarh on 07.8.2000 and 24 inmates in the age group of 9-10 years were admitted in it. On completion of terms of 7 years, the
trainees were passed out in March 07 immediately after the annual examination of their respective classes.

FOOTBALL ACADEMY-SENIOR

With the results shown by the senior football players the second batch of 24 footballers in the age group of 10-11 years were enrolled during the financial year 2004-05. The tenure of trainees as per the agreements has been fixed as 7 years and they shall complete their tenure in March 2011.

FOOTBALL ACADEMY-JUNIOR

The junior batch of football trainees in the age group of 10-11 years was inducted in July 2007 in place of the senior football trainees who were passed out in March` 2007 on completion of their 7 year tenure in the academy. The tenure of junior string has been fixed as 7 year as per the agreement signed with the parents of the trainees and they shall pass out from the academy in March 2014.

STAR PRODUCTS

  • Our 5 football academy trainees participated in the squad of Indian team World Cup U – 17, 2017 Football Competition recently held in India.
  • Master Amarjit Singh was the Captain of U – 17 Indian Team who participated in the World Cup U – 17 2017 Football Competition held recently in India and Master Jeakson Singh was only player who score the goal for Indian Team.
  • Presently 7 players who were the inmates of our Football academy are playing in the squad of Senior India team.
  • 9 players who were the inmates of our Football Academy and now joined reputed clubs in India, participated in Indian Super league.
  • Presently 5 players who were the inmates of our Football academy are playing in the squad of India team (U-16).
  • Presently 5 players who were the inmates of our Football academy are playing in the squad of India team (U-19).
  • During 2011 our Academy players participated in the Manchester Football Cup held at Goa and team won the Cup and thereafter went to Indonesia for Asian Cup on the basis of performance shown in the Manchester Football Cup and during Asia Cup our 3 Footballers was declared best players.
  • During 2010 our Football Academies trainees won Subroto International Football Cup held a New Delhi
