The stadium was constructed in 1960 on a 4-acre site. Presently, the work of modernization of stadium is in progress by the Engineering Department. Sports Department organizes Administrator’s Challenge Cup, All India Football Tournament (U-17 Boys) under the aegis of All India Football Association every year at this stadium.
