About Sports Department
Sports Department was incepted in 1984. Earlier it was functioning under the umbrella of Education department Chandigarh. The Department has established its full fledge establishments of Sports Directorate, District Sports Officer and Chandigarh Sports Council. Director Sports is holding the charge of Sports Department under the supervision of the Secretary Finance and Sports, Chandigarh Administration.
